Terms and Conditions

The Gautrain Airport Travellers Loyalty Rewards Promotion (the “Promotion”) is designed to reward qualifying customers who make a valid return trip to OR Tambo using their registered Gautrain Swift card. By registering for and participating in the Promotion, you (“User” or “you”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”).

  1. The Promotion runs from 01 December 2025 to 27 March 2026. We reserve the right to change or extend the duration of the Promotion at any time without prior notice.
  2. By participating in the Promotion, you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with these T&Cs, the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), and the Gautrain Privacy Policy.
  3. To qualify for the Promotion, Participants must:
    • Have a registered online Gautrain account and link their Gautrain Swift card to this online account.
    • Use the same registered Gautrain Swift card to travel to and from OR Tambo, within the same month.
    • Kindly note that Contactless bank cards are not eligible for this Promotion and customers who use a Contactless bank card to travel to and from OR Tambo do not qualify for the Promotion.
  4. Gautrain fares are available at www.gautrain.co.za
  5. Upon making a valid return trip to and from OR Tambo, customers will qualify for a reward to the combined value of R1960. The Reward comprises of the following vouchers:
    • 3 x R150 Domestic return flight voucher (Travelstart)
    • 3 x R300 International Flight voucher (Travelstart)
    • R500 Accommodation voucher (Mount Amanzi, Castleburn Resort, Sudwala Lodge, Crystal Springs Mountain Lodge, Caribbean Estates, Silversands, Uvongo River Resort, Monateng Safari Lodge, Manzi Monate)
    • R60 off Fast Food Spend (Mozambik, Nandos)
  6. Participants who complete more than one return trip within a month are eligible to claim an additional reward, up to a maximum of three return trips per month.
  7. Rewards may be redeemed at select partners, as identified above.
  8. Gautrain reserves the right to change or update the partner list at any time without prior notice.
  9. Participants must ensure that their contact details, with a valid South African mobile number and personal information have been accurately captured upon registration on the Gautrain website. Gautrain will not be held liable for the loss or claim of any reward voucher/s, if the contact details have been incorrectly captured.
  10. After making a valid return airport trip on Gautrain:
    • The Participant will receive an email containing a link to the Gautrain Rewards platform within 24 business hours of them completing their return trip.
    • This link will allow the Participant to access and redeem the reward voucher/s.
  11. Voucher/s are valid for 60 (sixty) days from the date of issue. If not redeemed within this period, the voucher/s will be forfeited. Voucher/s may be redeemed in-store or online at selected partners, as defined in 5 above.
  12. Confirmation emails will be sent Monday to Friday between 06h00 and 18h00 to registered email addresses provided by Participants.
  13. Gautrain is not responsible for the quality, delivery, or availability of products or services offered by participating partners.
  14. All queries/complaints/suggestions pertaining to products and services offered by the participating partners must be resolved directly with the respective retailer and Participants may contact White Labelled Customer Care line on 063 610 6229 in this regard.
  15. If a Participant requests a refund on Gautrain fares, then the value of the redeemed voucher will be deducted before any balance may be refunded to the Participant.
  16. All Gautrain users must adhere to Gautrain Travel Rules, available at: https://www.gautrain.co.za/commuter/generalinformation. Non-compliance may result in penalties.

How the Promotion Works

  1. Step 1: Register & Link Your Gautrain Swift card at https://www.gautrain.co.za/register
    • Link your Gautrain Swift card to your online profile.
  2. Step 2: Use a registered Gautrain Swift card to make a return trip to and from OR Tambo Train.
  3. Step 3: Voucher redemption
    • Upon completing their return airport trip to and from OR Tambo, Participants will receive an email confirmation within 24 business hours. The confirmation email will contain a voucher redemption link.
  4. Step 4: Use Your Voucher
    • Vouchers may be used either in-store or online at participating partners.
    • All vouchers are valid for 60 days from the date of issue.
    • Expired vouchers will not be reissued.

Gautrain Monthly Product Loyalty Rewards Promotion

Terms and Conditions

The Gautrain Monthly Product Loyalty Rewards Promotion (the “Promotion”) is designed to reward customers who purchase and utilise qualifying Monthly Products to travel on the Gautrain train. By registering for and participating in the Promotion, you (“User” or “you”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”).

  1. The Promotion runs from 1 December 2025 to 27 March 2026. We reserve the right to change or extend the duration of the Promotion at any time without prior notice.
  2. By participating in the Promotion, you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with these T&Cs and for the purposes of administering this Promotion, and the Gautrain Privacy Policy.
  3. To qualify for the Promotion, Participants must:
    • Have a registered online Gautrain account and link their Gautrain Swift card or Gautrain Kleva Mova card to this online account.
    • Use the same registered Gautrain Swift card or Gautrain Kleva Mova card to purchase and activate a Monthly Product either online or at a Gautrain station. Note, a Product is activated upon first successful tag-in at a Station.
  4. Gautrain fares are available at www.gautrain.co.za
  5. Upon purchasing and activating a valid/qualifying Monthly Product, customers will qualify for a reward to the combined value of R330. The Reward comprises of the following vouchers:
    • R150 off worth of grocery coupons (Checkers / uSave / Shoprite)
    • R30 off airtime voucher (MTN / CELL C / VODACOM / TELKOM)
    • R50 off (Dischem)
    • R100 off lifestyle voucher (SNT Sports, UCook, Koodoo)
  6. A Monthly Product is activated upon first tag-in at a Station.
  7. Rewards may be redeemed at select partners, as identified above.
  8. All partner vouchers are subject to the respective partner’s standard terms and conditions, including minimum spend requirements, booking restrictions, and availability. Gautrain is not responsible for partner-specific terms or restrictions.
  9. Gautrain reserves the right to change or update the partner list at any time without prior notice.
  10. Participants must ensure that their contact details, with a valid South African mobile number and personal information have been accurately captured upon registration on the Gautrain website. Gautrain will not be held liable for the loss or claim of any reward voucher/s, if the contact details have been incorrectly captured.
  11. After purchasing and activating a valid Monthly Product:
    • The Participant will receive an email containing the benefit redemption step, within 48 business hours.
    • This will allow the eligible Participant to access and redeem the reward benefits.
  12. Voucher/s are valid for 60 (sixty) days from the date of issue. If not redeemed within this period, the voucher/s will be forfeited. Voucher/s may be redeemed in-store or online at selected partners, as defined in 5 above.
  13. Confirmation emails will be sent Monday to Friday between 06h00 and 18h00 to registered email addresses provided by Participants.
  14. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gautrain and its partners accept no liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in this Promotion or the use of any reward.
  15. All queries/complaints/suggestions pertaining to products and services offered by the participating partners must be resolved directly with the respective retailer and Participants may contact the White Labelled Customer Care line on 063 610 6229 in this regard.
  16. If a Participant requests a refund on their Monthly Product, the value of the redeemed voucher will be deducted before any balance may be refunded to the Participant.
